- Mandelic acid is perfect for gently clearing away makeup, dirt, acne-causing bacteria, preventing ingrown hairs and deep cleaning your pores. It stimulates cellular turnover and improves the look of fine lines, wrinkles, and brightens the complexion while diminishing hyperpigmentation. Gentler than benzoyl peroxide, mandelic acid is extremely effective in removing acne on the face, chest, back, and bum. It also works for keratosis pilaris! For extra acne-fighting power or to treat adult hormonal acne, pair with our 10% BPO Gel Cleanser.
- Use once a day to start. If tolerated, increase frequency to 2x/day or as directed by your skin specialist.
- Apply to moistened skin. Massage in a circular motion on face, scalp or other areas of the body. Work into a rich lather for 15 seconds. Rinse with lukewarm water.
- Don’t forget to apply SPF during the day, as skin will be sensitive to the sun from the exfoliating effects of Mandelic acid. For better results follow with Hydro-Facial Daily Gel Cream Moisturizer. Add Vitamin C+ Sheer defense SPF 30 during the day.
